Co - Working
Brighton - the beach

First opened in November 2018, The Projects is a modern co-working space located in a beautiful Grade II listed building in the center of Brighton, only a stone’s throw away from the beach.

Combining modernity with history, The Projects is nothing like a traditional workplace: the different small rooms located over three floors give it a homely feel, where people can work in a social and relaxed environment.

Combining modernity with history

The history of the building is pretty interesting, solicitor’s used to occupy these offices in the 1800s, when Prince Regent ruled. He employed the law firm to buy more land for the Royal Pavillion.

One-of-a-kind Co-Working Space

The sitting room has references to a bygone era. Panelled walls surround an eclectic mix of old and new furniture. Reclaimed floorboards run throughout the ground floor.

The Projects
is nothing like a traditional workplace.
A beautifully modern co-working space.

The main inspiration came from the building itself, the area and the people of Brighton.

The design is non formulaic, with bold colour use and a lack of symmetry. The mix of old with new, contemporary with vintage help bring a story together.

An exceptional eye
for all things design.

The Projects started with the theory that it is ongoing, not quite finished. Many of the communal areas are fairly stripped back.

Materials such as raw plaster, steel and concrete were used not only to provide a blank canvas for the space to evolve but to showcase the artisans who were collectively involved.

These co-working ideals are referenced throughout the space. Some of the imagery depicts murmurations.

The idea is that when we work together beautiful things happen.
